Battery Replacement

WHAT IS IT

Battery cables transfer the current from the battery to other electrical components in your car like the starter and alternator. It’s always a good idea to have your battery cables checked regularly. You can have this done during your regularly scheduled oil change or check it yourself by looking under the hood of the car for any white or blue powdery residue on the battery or cables. This is an indication of corrosion.

WHY DO IT

Without properly functioning battery cables, your car will simply not run. Over time, these cables can become corroded causing poor connections and unreliable transfer of electricity throughout your car. Checking your battery and cables on a regular basis for signs of corrosion is a good way to extend the life of your battery cables.

HOW IT’S SERVICED

Your Master Mechanic technician will examine the battery cables in your car for signs of corrosion. Depending on the extent of the corrosion found, your technician may recommend simply cleaning the battery and cables. If the corrosion is extensive, the battery and/or cables will need to be replaced.
