Franchisee of the Year – Master Mechanic High Park Does it Again

In the last few months, Master Mechanic High Park was selected as the top Auto Service Centre in Toronto by NOW Magazine for the third year in a row, their Lead Technician, Rui Silvestre, was chosen for Technician of the Year, and co-owner, Josie Candito, won a National award! As if that weren’t prestigious enough, we’re pleased and proud to share with you that Master Mechanic High Park has now been selected as Franchisee of the Year!

There’s a lot that goes into running a successful business, but running a successful business for nearly 19 years is an entirely different story! But success isn’t all this award is about. The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes Master Mechanic locations that go above and beyond to service their customers and community. It’s not just about what they do for their clients; it’s about how they get it done. In addition to running an honest and efficient automotive shop, Josie uses her shop for community outreach initiatives. In the past, she has partnered with local schools to provide children with a hands-on look into the Automotive Industry and help educate them on trade-employment options early. Like all she does, she did it right, giving them time with Lead Technician, Rui Silvestre, who sent the children home with new knowledge, a package of goodies to further foster their interest, and a big smile. She’s known for helping break down gender barriers in her field by mentoring other women to increase their representation in the male-dominated Automotive Industry. The list goes on and on, but it’s evident that Master Mechanic High Park’s business is the community.

It’s truly gratifying just to work with the High Park community each day,” said Josie of winning the award. “Since we opened almost 19 years ago, the community has been so welcoming. We run our business with the same level of service we’d provide to any of our friends and family…because that’s what the High Park community has become to us.”
