Cabin Air Filter
Scheduled Maintenance
WHAT IS IT
Since the mid 1990’s, cabin air filters have been installed in most vehicles. Their purpose is to filter the air entering your passenger compartment through your vehicle’s air circulation system.
WHY DO IT
The cabin air filter can be compared to your home’s furnace filter as it acts in the same manner, trapping dust, pollen, pollutants, etc. Over time, these filters become contaminated and blocked, thereby preventing clean air to enter your car’s interior for you and your passengers to breath.
WHEN TO DO IT
In "normal" driving conditions, change every 20, 000 km; if "severe" (dusty roads, heavy traffic congestion), then change every 10, 000 km.
