Impressed With Service & Attention

"On October 26, I purchased a used vehicle from an individual in the Mississauga area. Before the purchase was finalized, the vehicle was sent to your Dixie shop for some work (the cost of which was shared by myself and the seller) – partial exhaust replacement, fix the driver’s power window and safety. The guys there (Steve/Jeff) recommended that the muffler be replaced. The work was completed and I completed the purchase of the vehicle from the owner. This past weekend, it was discovered that the muffler was venting directly back into the bumper area and causing it to melt. (It should have been bent and vented towards the ground). The lower part of the trim on the bumper actually had melted significantly. I called the shop on Monday morning to express my concern and emailed pictures of the issue. They agreed to fix the error and the car was brought in and the proper work was completed. Given the original problem, it could have a significantly different outcome and possible catastrophic outcome. Just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed by their service and attention to this matter. Kudos to Jeff/Steve for their attitude and for taking ownership of this issue and fixing it. Too many firms these days, regardless of the business, disconnect themselves from the customer/client and move on once original business has been done. In this case, the reflection and impression left upon by your firm and its franchisees is second to none. In the event I need further work or know of someone who does, I will return to have the work done by your firm or recommend it. "

My Fix It People

"This is the second time that I have contacted your organization regarding Paul Mercer and his staff at the Master Mechanic location at 2 Fisherman Drive in Brampton. The first time was several months ago when I had a problem with my wife's 1995 Corsica and needed it towed into their shop. I had called ahead to let them know I was coming and when I arrived with the tow unit, there was already a space created for me and my car was immediately moved inside. It was only a short time later that I was on my way with the proper repairs completed. Just recently, my 2002 Ford Windstar quit on the highway and again I had my vehicle towed to their location. As previously, I called ahead to let them know I was coming and again there was an open bay for me when I arrived. After some testing, it was determined that my alternator needed to be replaced and I naturally okayed the repairs. Unknown to myself and, based on his knowledge and experience, the Service Manager, Bryan, had already ordered the replacement part and it arrived prior to the old one being removed. Again the repairs were made in a short time and I was back on the road. Paul and all his staff are always there for me and it is a distinct pleasure to have them as my safety factor when I need help. Over the years, they have actually become friends as well as my fix it people. They deserve a huge pat on the back."

"Marie and I moved from Mississauga to Brampton approximately 8 years ago and for a few months returned to our private mechanic friend for repairs. Naturally, that became a chore and we started looking locally. We heard positive advertising about the Master Mechanic system and decided to try them out. We went to our closest location and, as it turned out, that was one of our most positive decisions. From day 1 we were very impressed with their honesty and how we were treated. We have been dealing with Paul Mercer at the Heart Lake store and his staff ever since and have never been disappointed in any way. They can always find our problem even with my poor descriptions and fix them efficiently. I have only had one small warranty problem (I think I was being picky) and there was no debating. "I just had a call from Bryan at the Master Mechanic on Fisherman Drive inquiring how my experience was on Friday, having just taken my car there for the first time. I'm shopping for a new mechanic as the people at the Chrysler dealership tried to rip me off. What I've seen so far from Master Mechanic, I like. Problems that went undiagnosed by Chrysler for over 6 months were repaired by Master Mechanic on the first visit and I hear and feel a difference in the car. Bryan on the front desk, was helpful, courteous and responded to my inquiries timely! I even pushed my luck and asked for a pick-up at the end of the day and got one by the owner of the shop! "I just wanted to tell you of my experience at your Heart Lake store. I needed to have 3 or 4 things serviced on my 1999 Honda before trading it in on a new car. Having zero trust in the Honda dealership, I took a chance with Master Mechanic. From my first conversation with the Service Manager, George, to the time I picked up my car, I was impressed by the entire process. George explained exactly what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I feared the worst based on my past experience with the dealership. Instead...I got an honest solution to my problem. I was able to have everything repaired honestly and at a fair price. Having said that, this will not be a one-time visit to MM as both my wife’s car and my new car will be serviced at MM. I would also highly recommend MM to anyone who brings up auto servicing. Thanks to George and his crew for making a hot, humid Saturday a refreshing day!"
