Shock Replacement

WHAT IS IT

Shock absorbers are an important part of your car’s suspension system. They control the impact and rebound movement of your vehicle’s springs and suspension to make sure your tires stay connected to the road and your car doesn’t bounce into the air when going over bumps or uneven pavement.

WHY DO IT

Properly functioning shock absorbers are necessary when it comes to the safe handling, control, braking and cornering of your vehicle. As well, worn or damaged shocks can result in increased wear and tear on your tires, suspension and ball joints, and result in poor steering control and unstable braking. Shocks should be replaced every 80,000 – 120,000kms.

HOW IT’S SERVICED

After your Master Mechanic technician removes the old shock absorbers and replaces them with new ones, your suspension system will be checked for any worn or damaged parts that may have resulted from the poorly functioning shocks. Your car will then be road tested to ensure that the new shock absorbers are working properly.
