Who is the Mississauga Firefighters Association?

The 4th Annual Motorcycle Poker Run is organized by the Mississauga Firefighters Associations’ Benevolent Fund. This is a nonprofit division of our union that raises funds to be distributed throughout our community without personal gain to its members. They support charities such as: Trillium Health Partners, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Alzheimer’s Society of Peel, Mississauga Community Living, and more. Their committee has donated over $2.7 million in the past 38 years including $82,000 last year alone.

What is the Mississauga Firefighters Benevolent Fund?

The Benevolent Fund is a non-profit division of their union that raises funds to be distributed throughout the community. Since its’ inception, the fund has raised over 2.5 million dollars for charities within the community, including:

  • Muscular Dystrophy Canada
  • Trillium Health Care
  • Credit Valley Hospital
  • Big Brothers and Big Sisters
  • Alzheimer’s Society of Peel
  • Camp Bucko Burn Camp
  • Erinoak Kids
  • JDRF
  • The Dam
  • Peel Children’s Centre
  • Mississauga Community Living

What is the Motorcycle Poker Run?

The Motorcycle Poker Run is a fundraiser where riders travel to predetermined locations in order to collect playing cards. The best ranked poker hands at the end of the day will win a prize. We will be providing coffee, a BBQ lunch, raffle prizes, grab bags as well as prizes for the best hands.

Where is it?

The Motorcycle Poker Run will be taking place through Peel and Halton Regions.

When is it?

Sunday, June 17th, 2018.
